GENERATOR BACKORDER ALERT

Due to COVID-19, the global chip shortage, and the increased demand for standby generators, Generac Power Systems is continuing to experience production delays. We are currently estimating it to take 6-to-7 months from contract signature to complete the permitting, installation, inspection & provisioning of your new generator.

We want to thank all of our clients in advance for their patience as we continue to work though these challenging times.

Generac's promised ship dates have continued to slip

As of May 28, 2021, Generac's lead times have gotten even worse!  We have plenty of generators on order... BUT, Generac is currently taking between 19 and 38 weeks to fulfill their orders with us (depending on the model ordered). Please continue to be patient as we work through these challenging times.

Generac CEO says demand for power generators is high: ‘We can’t make them fast enough’

"Given the company’s backlog, local permitting processes and the contractors involved, it can take 20 weeks for residents to get a generator installed in their home, he said. Generac has about 7,000 dealers in its network, but the company needs more, he said. Services that handle inspections, gas meter upgrades and other parts of the installation process are also reportedly dealing with long queues." “There’s just a backlog of everything,” he added.

“I know there’s a lot of people suffering down there right now,” Jagdfeld said. “We’re doing our best to get as much product as we can into that market.”
