The 8 kW Generac standby was installed by another company in December of 2014, and in 2019 the servicing switched to Green Sun. One of our annual service plans supports it: spark plug and air filter, oil and filter, battery inspection, load testing and a full performance check every year, from the five-year visit in 2019 through to the most recent, completed in February of 2026 with 163 hours on the meter against 56 at the start. A service call the month before replaced the starter and had the machine running again. At 8 kW this one backs a dedicated set of essential circuits rather than the whole house, which is the smaller and less costly way to keep what matters running through an outage.
