Steve from Rumson, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2020. The generator went in the following January: a 22 kW Generac on natural gas, switching the whole 4,276 square foot house through a 200-amp service-entrance transfer switch, with load management modules on the two largest circuits so those loads step aside for a moment rather than the machine being sized to carry everything at once. Three sump pumps are what set the priority here. The code calculation asked for 18 kW, but a house that needs three pumps is a house where losing them is the actual emergency, not the lights.
