Service Technician
Green Sun Energy Services, LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role working with residential generators, solar energy systems, and seasonal services. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working with your hands, and providing top-notch service to customers, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of service and maintenance tasks, including:
Generator Services
-
Maintenance, service, and repair of residential air-cooled generators.
-
Troubleshooting generator issues, including reading flow charts and one-line diagrams, isolating failed components, and diagnosing Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).

Performing engine repairs such as valve adjustments, gasket/seal replacements, oil changes, and addressing fuel or exhaust issues.
Solar Services
-
Performing preventive maintenance, including solar panel cleaning and inspections.

Troubleshooting, replacement, and repair of inverters, micro-inverters, optimizers, and PV wiring.
Seasonal & Exterior Services
-
Assembly and installation of holiday lighting and exterior decorations.

Power washing, soft washing, and window cleaning for residential clients.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to think critically and solve problems in the field. Applicants should have:

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Basic knowledge of natural gas and propane fuel systems (a plus).

Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.

Familiarity with tools, tape measures, and safe ladder handling.

Comfort with heights and ability to walk on roofs.

Strong integrity, reliability, honesty, motivation, and a willingness to learn.
Requirements

Valid Driver’s License – REQUIRED
(DMV & background record check will be conducted).

Position Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who bring both skill and motivation to the table:

Excellent communication skills – articulate, professional, and confident when working with homeowners.

Self-motivated with strong understanding of the sales process and ability to meet/exceed sales goals.

Proven experience in a quota-driven sales position.

Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, IP phone systems, and CRM platforms (Salesforce.com or similar).

Reliable transportation and ownership of a laptop and tablet.

Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Position Responsibilities
As a Sales Consultant, you’ll be the face of our company, helping homeowners invest in energy solutions that save money and add value to their homes. Responsibilities include:

Generating new leads at company-sponsored trade shows and events.

Qualifying and closing leads provided by the home office.

Assessing homeowners’ needs and analyzing the feasibility of energy investments.

Preparing and presenting detailed proposals and contracts.

Consulting with clients on our solar energy systems and standby generator solutions.

Negotiating contracts and closing sales for solar and backup energy systems.

Logging and tracking all activity within the CRM system for accurate reporting.
