Mike from Brick, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since March of 2025. The array was completed in April: 13 panels making 5.98 kW with Enphase IQ8X microinverters, 90 feet of critter guard around the perimeter, and an estimated 8,728 kilowatt hours in the first year. Thirteen panels producing nearly six kilowatts works out to well over 450 watts each, which is roughly double what a panel of the same physical size produced a decade ago. That is why a modest roof now supports a system that would have needed half as many panels again in 2015 – the constraint has moved from how much roof there is to how much electricity the household actually uses.
