Thomas from Hamilton Square, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since February of 2024. The array came off in March and went back on in April: 13 panels and their mounting system removed, then reinstalled on new flashing once the roof beneath them had been dealt with. New flashing on the way back is the part that matters. The old flashing has spent years being weathered around bolts that are about to be pulled out of it, and reusing it would put a new roof under old seals – which is the one thing a reroof under solar is meant to prevent. Removing and reinstalling a small array is a fortnight’s work either side of the roofer, and doing it by arrangement is a great deal better than doing it in an emergency.
