The load survey is unlike any other we have written up – four well pumps, alongside a sump pump, two refrigerators, a separate freezer, an electric oven, a washer and a gas dryer. Four pumps on one property means water is being moved rather than merely supplied, and none of it happens without power. Thirteen years on, an annual maintenance plan and a ten-year extended parts-and-labor warranty still sit behind the machine.

Can a generator be installed on a deck or a roof?
Platform, deck and supporting-structure installations are recognized, but they call for additional review: structural capacity, noncombustible surface requirements, fire clearance, exhaust, airflow, vibration, service access and local requirements all have to be addressed. It is a site-specific installation rather than a routine location.
What gas pressure does a generator need?
It is model-specific and has to be read off the specification sheet rather than assumed. A current 22 kW model, for instance, specifies a minimum natural-gas pressure of 3.5 inches water column. Different models carry different requirements.
Why do outages last longer on some Red Bank streets than others?
Mature tree cover over overhead lines is the usual reason.
