Glenn from Toms River, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since October of 2021. The generator was commissioned in May of 2022: a Generac Guardian rated 19.5 kW on natural gas, feeding a GenReady load center in the basement with three smart management modules. A GenReady panel is a different approach from a transfer switch bolted next to the meter – the load center itself does the switching, which keeps the wiring tidier and puts the load management inside the panel where the circuits already are. The load calculation asked for 15 kW across 3,100 square feet, with two refrigerators, a washer, a gas dryer and a dishwasher to carry.
