Eleven years is long enough for the design decision to have been tested rather than argued: with a microinverter under every panel, a shaded or failing module affects only itself, and the array has degraded one panel at a time rather than as a single system. The roof was stripped and replaced before the panels went on, so the surface beneath them is as old as the array itself.
Green Sun solar did an excellent job with my install. I was impressed by a well organized process that they went thru as well as post installation support.
