The generator was commissioned in April of 2021, on a 100-amp managed whole-house switch, sized against a 15 kW calculation for the 1,600 square foot house, with two refrigerators, a washer, a gas dryer and a dishwasher on the load list. Two conditions were agreed before the work: the large bush in front of the electric meter removed, and the garage wall cleared so the gas line could be run from the front of the house to the back. The contract also carried an unusual offer – if someone nearby contracted and installed with us, a credit would go on the last invoice of both households, not only the one making the introduction. A referral arrangement that pays the person being referred as well as the person referring is a different proposition from one that does not, and it is worth stating plainly.
