Keeping you posted through the installation is deliberate, because a generator project has more moving parts than it looks: gas, electrical, permits and inspections all run on their own timelines. Does new gas piping have to be pressure tested in Farmingdale?

Yes. Gas piping subject to the adopted fuel-gas code must be inspected and tested before it is accepted. New Jersey adopts the 2024 International Fuel Gas Code, which governs the inspection, the test pressure and how long the test has to hold.

Does every generator need a valve adjustment?

No. Valve-clearance requirements depend on the engine and the model. The technician identifies the model and serial number and follows the applicable maintenance schedule, rather than assuming every air-cooled machine gets the same procedure.

How much space is needed at the ends of the generator?
