Our team installed a Generac Model 7042-2 standby generator, rated at 22 kW on liquid propane (LP) and 19.5 kW on natural gas (NG). The system includes a 200-AMP automatic transfer switch, allowing the generator to automatically power Doug’s 3,400-square-foot home whenever the electrical grid goes down. This setup helps keep essential appliances, heating and cooling systems, lighting, and other household equipment operating during power interruptions.
To protect his investment and ensure long-term reliability, Doug also enrolled in a Generac Service Contract through Green Sun Energy Services. His plan includes scheduled generator maintenance, remote monitoring, and a 7-year warranty. Regular maintenance helps keep the generator operating efficiently, while remote monitoring allows system performance to be tracked and potential issues identified early.
