
Green Sun Energy Services installed a Generac Guardian 16 kW natural gas standby generator at a residential property in Farmingdale, New Jersey. The system is paired with a 150-amp automatic smart transfer switch configured for managed whole-house coverage, meaning the transfer switch monitors the utility feed and switches the home to generator power automatically when grid power is lost, then returns it to utility power once service is restored.
The installation included a prefabricated concrete generator pad, a 12-volt start battery, and a bisque fascia base trim kit. The generator is controlled by Generac’s Evolution 2.0 controller, which provides onboard diagnostics and remote monitoring through Wi-Fi. The property is served by JCPL, and the existing electrical service at the time of installation was rated at 150 amps.

Does new gas piping have to be pressure tested in Farmingdale?
