The first visit was the four-year service in July of 2025, and the five-year service followed in July of 2026. Four years is roughly where a standby generator stops being new – the break-in oil is long gone, the battery is entering the range where it starts letting people down, and the plugs and filters have real hours on them. An annual maintenance plan now covers the yearly visit.

Can the existing natural-gas service in a Farmingdale home supply a generator?

Why does cold weather matter when sizing a propane tank?
