Atlantic City Electric’s rate at the time of installation worked out at roughly $0.283 per kilowatt hour, and that figure has been climbing at about 3% a year, so the projected saving in the first year is around $718 and the gap widens as the utility rate rises against a lease rate that does not. The roof was stripped and replaced before the panels went on.
