Aaron from Medford, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since January of 2024, and booked the roof and the array removal together. The roof was finished on 12 February: two layers of old shingle stripped to the sheathing and hauled away, then 10,300 square feet of new composition shingle in pewter gray with a 50-year warranty. The array came off before it and went back on after – 112 panels totalling 25.76 kW, removed with their mounting system and reinstalled on new flashing, finished on 13 March. This is the largest job of its kind on the site by a wide margin, and it is the one that shows why a roof under solar has to be dealt with before it fails rather than after: 112 panels have to come down and go back up whatever the reason, and doing it once by arrangement is a great deal better than doing it in an emergency.
