Ninad from Manalapan Township, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2020. The generator was commissioned in March of 2021: 16 kW on natural gas, on a 150-amp service-entrance switch, sized against a 13 kW calculation for the 2,400 square foot house. Two bushes had to come out before installation, and one limit was set out in advance – a generator can only surge to within a few amps of the locked rotor current an air conditioner needs to start, so the household knew before the work what the machine would and would not carry at that moment. Saying so in the contract rather than afterwards is what keeps a first outage from being a disappointment. Annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind the generator.
