Gay from Scotch Plains, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2020. The generator was commissioned in April of 2021: a 16 kW Generac Guardian on natural gas, set at the back corner of the house behind the air conditioning, with a 150-amp service-entrance transfer switch and a smart management module. The load survey is what set the size – 1,200 square feet, but carrying two washers, both an electric and a gas dryer, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher and a sump pump, which is a heavier draw than the floor area suggests. The generator is supported by one of our service plans: annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty, and monitoring we manage directly.
