Emily from Manahawkin, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since March of 2020. The array was already up and working; what it needed was a barrier along its edge. We fitted 196 linear feet of black PVC coated critter guard around the perimeter in April of 2020, using the eight inch profile that suits rail mounted panels. On a barrier island the wildlife pressure is constant – gulls, squirrels and nesting birds all treat the shaded gap between panel and roof deck as sheltered ground, and wiring damage there is costly to put right and hard to see until production drops. The guard seals the opening while leaving the array ventilated and reachable for service.
