Kevin from Hamilton, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since March of 2020. The solar array was already on the roof; the job was to close the gap underneath it. In April of 2020 we fitted 266 linear feet of black PVC coated critter guard around the perimeter of the array, an eight inch profile made for rail mounted panels. The space between the panels and the roof deck is sheltered, dry and out of reach of anything larger, which is exactly why squirrels and nesting birds move into it – and chewed wiring up there is expensive to repair and almost impossible to spot from the ground. The guard closes the gap without restricting airflow under the panels or blocking access for service.
