Alexandria from Aberdeen, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since January of 2021. The generator was commissioned in July of 2022: 17 kW on natural gas, on a 200-amp managed whole-house switch with a smart management module and surge protection, sized against a 13 kW calculation for the 1,900 square foot house. Two refrigerators, a separate freezer, a washer, a gas dryer and a dishwasher make up the load, so the machine carries a comfortable margin over what the calculation required. Sixteen months separated the contract from the commissioning, which was the shape of generator work through that period – permits, utility scheduling and equipment lead times all ran in sequence rather than together. Servicing is arranged as and when rather than on a schedule.
