Miguel from Colonia, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since January of 2021. The generator was commissioned in October: 17 kW on natural gas, on a 200-amp managed whole-house switch with two smart management modules, sized against a 15 kW calculation for the 3,000 square foot house. Two refrigerators, a separate freezer, a washer, a gas dryer and a dishwasher make up the load – three pieces of cold storage being the quiet argument for backup power, since the cost of a long outage is measured in what has to be thrown away afterwards. Nine months separated the contract from the commissioning, which was the shape of generator work through that period. Annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind the machine.
