Rick from Parlin, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2020. The generator was commissioned that November: 20 kW on natural gas, on a 200-amp whole-house transfer switch, sized against an 18 kW calculation for the 3,000 square foot house. An electric range and oven combination is the appliance driving that figure – electric cooking asks more of a generator in a few minutes than most of the house does all day, and it does so at exactly the hour an evening outage is most likely to be noticed. A refrigerator, a separate freezer, a washer, a gas dryer and a dishwasher complete the load. Annual maintenance, a ten-year extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind it.
