Dewey from Millstone Township, NJ became a Green Sun Energy Services client in August of 2026. The array came off and went back on that month: 20 panels and their mounting system removed, then reinstalled once the roof beneath them had been replaced. The roofing was not ours – the household already had a roofer – and that is the arrangement this service exists for. A roofer cannot lawfully disconnect and refit a live solar array, so a household replacing a roof under panels needs a solar contractor either side of the roofing work, and the two trades have to be sequenced around each other rather than negotiated on the day. New flashing went on with the reinstallation, which is the part that matters: reusing flashing that has been weathered around bolts about to be pulled out of it would put a new roof under old seals.
