We installed a Generac Guardian in August of 2026, rated 22 kW on propane and 19.5 kW on the natural gas it runs on here, sited outdoors beside the meter. The load survey set the size more than the floor area did: 2,800 square feet is the smaller part of it, and the two sump pumps are the reason the number matters, because a sump that stops during a storm is how a basement floods. The code calculation put the minimum at 14 kW, so there is comfortable headroom above it. The whole house switches over through a 150-amp service-entrance transfer switch, and our top service plan supports the machine: annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty, and remote monitoring that Green Sun manages directly.

Can the exercise time be changed?
