Thomas from Middletown, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since September of 2020. The generator was commissioned in June of 2021: a 24 kW machine on natural gas, on a 200-amp service-entrance switch with a smart management module, sized against a 21 kW calculation for the 2,984 square foot house. An electric range and oven combination and an electric dryer are what lift the figure that high – electric cooking and laundry ask more of a generator in a few minutes than the rest of a house does all day. Two refrigerators and a separate freezer complete the load, which is the quiet argument for backup power: the cost of a long outage is measured in what gets thrown away. Annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind the machine.
