Abraham from Passaic, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2022. The array was completed in November: 24 panels making 9.72 kW into a SolarEdge HD Wave inverter with optimizers, 140 feet of critter guard around the perimeter, and an estimated 10,116 kilowatt hours in the first year. PSEG interconnected it in January. Passaic is one of the most densely built cities in the state, and a roof there is usually shaded by something – the survey work is less about finding a south-facing slope than about establishing which parts of the roof are clear for enough of the day to be worth using. The existing roof was sound enough to take the array as it stood.
