The generator was commissioned in September: 26 kW on natural gas, on a 200-amp service-entrance switch with three smart management modules and surge protection. This is the largest machine on the site, and the load calculation supports it – 22 kW across 5,500 square feet, with three sump pumps, an electric dryer and an electric oven on the list. Three pumps is not redundancy but capacity: a basement that needs three has water arriving faster than one or two can move it, and all three will be running in the storm that also takes the power out. Annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind the machine.
