Richard from Belmar, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since May of 2025. The charger came first, installed at the end of that month: a hardwired ChargePoint Level 2 unit rated 11.5 kW, mounted outdoors on a dedicated 60-amp circuit, with 146 amps of spare capacity measured on the service beforehand. The array followed in September – 21 panels making 9.03 kW with Enphase IQ8 microinverters and an estimated 11,073 kilowatt hours in the first year. JCP&L interconnected it in October. That order is a sensible way to arrive at solar: the charger is what makes the electricity bill worth reducing, and a house that has just started charging a car at home has a much clearer idea of what it actually consumes.
