32 Panels and 10.24 kW in Red Bank, NJ

Luke and Samantha from Red Bank, NJ have been Green Sun Energy Services clients since February of 2020. The array was finished that April: 32 Hanwha Q.PEAK DUO panels making 10.24 kW into a SolarEdge HD Wave inverter, with an optimizer on each panel and a 25-year warranty covering both, plus 112 feet of critter guard around the perimeter. The design estimates 13,549 kilowatt hours in the first year, and JCP&L interconnected the system a couple of weeks after the panels went up. Two layouts were drawn before the work started, a smaller one and this one, and the larger array won out – which is usually the right call, since the cost of adding panels later to an array already built and interconnected is far higher than including them at the outset. The existing roof was sound, so the job stayed with the array.
