An Inspector’s Deadline in the Contract in Lincroft

Francis from Lincroft, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since February of 2023. The generator was commissioned in April, sized against a 15 kW calculation for the 2,500 square foot house, with a sump pump, two refrigerators, a washer, a gas dryer and a dishwasher on the load list. The contract set out both outcomes rather than one: the transfer switch would go in the garage if the electrical inspector signed and sealed the plan by a named date, and on the outside of the house if not. Where a transfer switch ends up is not entirely ours to decide – an inspector can require otherwise – so naming both possibilities means neither answer arrives as a surprise on installation day. Annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind the machine.
