Kristy from Atlantic Highlands, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since May of 2020. The generator was installed by another company and commissioned in June of 2013, and the servicing came to us seven years later. Every interval since has been kept – 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and again at the start of 2026, without a gap. A replacement battery was fitted in the spring of 2021, at the machine’s eighth year, which is about where an original battery gives up if nobody has replaced it sooner. An annual maintenance plan covers the yearly visit.

What is Base Flood Elevation and why does it matter here?
Base Flood Elevation is the elevation associated with the base flood -- generally the flood with a one percent chance of being reached or exceeded in any year. For a generator it is often the starting point for working out how high the mechanical and electrical equipment has to be protected or raised.
Can the generator be connected to any nearby gas pipe?
No. The branch supplying the generator has to be sized for the flow and pressure the machine needs. A pipe that happens to be close by may be too small, or may already be carrying too much load. Undersized piping shows up as poor starting, unstable running, reduced output or a generator that shuts down under load.
Why does the generator run when the power is on?
It is performing its automatic exercise cycle, which confirms basic engine operation and keeps the machine ready. A generator can also start because utility voltage has become abnormal even though the power has not gone off completely -- the controller watches the quality of the supply, not simply whether it is absent.
