A single-storey house is not necessarily a smaller job than a two-storey one. The footprint tends to be wider, which means more roof and more siding at ground level, where splashback, mud and the growth that comes off surrounding planting all end up. What changes is the access rather than the area, and the work still comes down to holding the solution on the surface long enough to do its job rather than blasting anything off.
