Solar and a Generator Since 2012 in Farmingdale

Farmingdale, NJ · Client since July 2012

John from Farmingdale, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since July of 2012, which places this among the oldest relationships on the site. The array came first, completed that November: 37 panels making 9.07 kW, each with its own Enphase M215 microinverter, and an estimated 10,136 kilowatt hours in the first year, interconnected by JCP&L the following April. The generator followed in June of 2013: 14 kW on natural gas, on a whole-house transfer switch, for a 2,171 square foot house with an electric oven, two refrigerators, a washer, a gas dryer and a dishwasher. Thirty-seven panels for nine kilowatts dates the array precisely – a panel of that era made around 245 watts where the same physical size now makes over 450. Fourteen years on, both are still running and an annual maintenance plan still covers the generator.

"It can be confusing listening to all the companies coming after you to go solar. We chose Green Sun because their installations are the best and because they do not promise anything they cannot deliver. It is easy for people to tell you how much you will save but Green Sun is honest about everything. They have been taking great care of our panels and are very responsive. We are actually making out better than we thought we would. Go Green Sun!!!" - Lon & Judy from Farmingdale, NJ. Solar Review Source: Facebook
