The generator was installed by another company and commissioned in June of 2022, and the servicing came to us a year later, beginning with a startup inspection to establish what condition it was actually in. An extended warranty was ordered at the same time – the machine was young enough to still qualify, which is the part most households do not realise has a deadline. Monitoring was set up the same day and the household connected the generator to their own Wi-Fi, and the two-year service followed the next summer. Annual maintenance, the extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind it now.

Can a standby generator run central air conditioning?
Yes, when it is sized for it. The design has to account for both the running demand and the starting surge of the air-conditioning equipment. Load-management equipment can be used where necessary so that demand does not all arrive at once.
