Stephen from Freehold, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since September of 2020. The generator was commissioned in August of 2021: a Generac Guardian rated 19.5 kW on natural gas, on a 200-amp service-entrance switch with four smart management modules. The load calculation asked for 18 kW across the 2,900 square foot house, and two heat pumps are the reason four modules were fitted – a heat pump draws several times its running load in the instant the compressor starts, and two of them starting together is the moment that decides whether a generator copes. Two sump pumps, two refrigerators, an electric dryer and a dishwasher complete the load. Annual maintenance, an extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage all sit behind it.
