Two Layers Off and 22 Panels On in Jackson, NJ

Jackson, NJ · Client since February 2020

Allison from Jackson, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since February of 2020, and booked the roof and the array on the same day. The roof was finished on 4 April: two layers of old shingle stripped to the sheathing and hauled away, then 2,800 square feet of new composition shingle in barkwood with a 50-year warranty. The array followed ten days later – 22 panels making 7.04 kW into a SolarEdge HD Wave inverter with optimizers, and an estimated 8,382 kilowatt hours in the first year. JCP&L interconnected it at the end of the month. Two layers coming off is the case the tear-off rule exists for: the second was hiding whatever the first had been covering, and the deck underneath is not visible until both are gone.
