Maryrose from Holmdel, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2024. The generator was installed by another company and commissioned in May of 2020, and the servicing came to us four years later. Three intervals have been kept since – the four-year service in August of 2024, the five-year service in July of 2025 and the six-year service this August. Four years is the point at which a standby generator stops being new: the break-in oil is long gone, the battery is entering the range where it starts letting people down, and the plugs and filters have real hours on them. An annual maintenance plan now covers the yearly visit, with the manufacturer’s standard warranty behind the machine.
