Eric from Hazlet, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since November of 2021. The generator was commissioned in March of 2022: a 14 kW Generac Guardian on natural gas, outdoors beside the meter, with a 100-amp service-entrance switch, a smart management module and surge protection. At 1,285 square feet this is a compact house, but the load survey is what set the size rather than the floor area – two sump pumps and a heat pump, and a heat pump draws several times its running load in the instant it starts. The load calculation came out at 13 kW and the machine installed sits just above it. Annual maintenance, a seven-year extended parts-and-labor warranty and monitoring we manage sit behind the generator.
