A New Roof and 36 Panels in East Windsor, NJ

East Windsor, NJ · Client since July 2020

Scott from East Windsor, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since July of 2020, and booked the roof and the array on the same day. The roof came first, finished on 19 September: a single layer stripped to the sheathing and hauled away, then 3,500 square feet of new composition shingle in charcoal with a 50-year warranty. The array followed a month later – 36 panels making 12.24 kW into a SolarEdge inverter with optimizers, 228 feet of critter guard around the perimeter, and an estimated 13,680 kilowatt hours in the first year. JCP&L interconnected it in December. Doing the roof first is the only order that makes sense: a 50-year roof beneath a 25-year array means the panels should never have to come off and go back on partway through their life.

I was very happy with the job Green Sun has done and the communication they consistently provided. I met someone yesterday who was looking install Solar Panels and they mentioned how painful the sales presentation was (with a very high pressure approach). I told them I have had no issues with Green Sun and I have been very happy. Glen was very professional and informative in the presentation he gave. I also had a neighbor looking for Solar last year and tried to go with a competitor, but they kept delaying things with very inconsistent communication. The communication from both Glen and Chris was always consistent, keeping me in the loop all along the process as they pushed to finish my job before the end of 2020.
