Chris from Cream Ridge, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2019, and has come back twice since. The generator went in first, in October of 2019: 21 kW on natural gas, on a 200-amp whole-house transfer switch, sized against a 17 kW calculation for a house with two well pumps – the load that makes backup power a necessity rather than a comfort out here, since no power means no water at all. The array followed five days later: 37 panels making 12.4 kW into a SolarEdge inverter with optimizers, estimated at 14,422 kilowatt hours in the first year and interconnected by JCP&L in November. Four years on, in September of 2023, we came back to fit a ChargePoint Level 2 charger outdoors beside the meter, on a dedicated 60-amp circuit with load management.
