Standby Generator Service

A generator sits quietly for a year and then has to work on the one night it matters. That means the battery, the oil, the weekly test cycle and the transfer switch, all checked before the storm rather than during it. These are New Jersey homes we look after on a maintenance plan, and plenty of the generators on this list were installed by somebody else. Each one names the equipment on site and the town, so what you are reading is work we actually did rather than a list of what a plan covers.

938 completed generator service projects across 142 New Jersey towns, including 165 with a review written by the customer.

Standby Generator Service in Bridgewater, NJ

Solar Panel Installation and Standby Generator Service in Bridgewater, NJ | 14.875 kW

Karen and Steve from Bridgewater, NJ have been Green Sun Energy Services clients since July of 2025. Two jobs a week apart, one new and one inherited. 14.875 kW of solar: Thirty-five Jinko 425-watt panels on IronRidge rail, finished in October of 2025, with first-year production estimated at 15,119 kWh. At nearly fifteen kilowatts this is a large residential array, and the rail layout is what decides how that weight sits across the roof structure. The generator already at the house: A Generac 7035 rated 16 kW, installed in August of 2020 by another company, feeding a 70-amp transfer switch.

Cedric from Atlantic Highlands, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since November of 2019. A Generac Guardian rated 16 kW went in the following July, running on natural gas behind a 200-amp automatic transfer switch, with 1,800 square feet of living space behind it on the load survey. 22 kW Standby Generator Installation in Colts Neck, NJ | Sized for 3,600 Square Feet on a 200-Amp Switch

20 kW Standby Generator Installation in Middletown, NJ | Sized for 2,888 Square Feet on a 200-Amp Switch

A Generac Guardian rated 20 kW on propane and 18 kW on natural gas went in that November, running on natural gas behind a 200-amp automatic transfer switch, with 2,888 square feet of living space behind it on the load survey.
