David from Carteret, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since November of 2023. The charger went in that December: a hardwired ChargePoint Level 2 unit rated 11.5 kW, mounted outdoors on a dedicated 60-amp circuit run from the panel. The service was measured before anything was ordered and had the headroom to carry it, which is the step that decides whether a charger install is straightforward or turns into a panel upgrade. Sixty amps is a substantial addition to a house, and finding out that the service cannot take it after the equipment has arrived is an expensive way to learn.
