Jane from Princeton, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since March of 2025. The charger went in that May: a hardwired ChargePoint Level 2 unit rated 11.5 kW, mounted outdoors next to the meter on a dedicated 60-amp circuit. The load calculation put the minimum service at 107 amps against the 200-amp supply the house already had, so the circuit went in without the panel being touched. Mounting beside the meter keeps the run short, and a short run is the cheapest part of any electrical job – the cost of an EV charger is mostly in the distance between the panel and wherever the car parks. A permit was filed with the township and a utility rebate application submitted.
