A New Roof and 9.49 kW of Solar in Wall, NJ

Antonella from Wall, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2022, and booked the roof and the array together. The roof was completed on 14 October 2022: a single layer of old shingles stripped to the sheathing and hauled away, then 4,100 square feet of new composition shingle in charcoal with a 50-year warranty. The array went on a week later – 26 REC N-Peak 2 panels making 9.49 kW into a SolarEdge HD Wave inverter, optimizers on every panel and a 25-year warranty covering both. Every roof we do is a complete tear-off, and the order here is the reason it matters: a 50-year roof underneath a 25-year array means the panels will never need to come off and go back on partway through their life. The design estimates 13,607 kilowatt hours in the first year, and JCP&L interconnected the system that December.
