…a long-term customer. I highly recommend Green Sun if you are going to go solar. However, it was only recently that I realized they also offer the soft/pressure wash services. We scheduled Green Sun to wash our roof, panels, siding, deck/patio/pavers and fence. It all went very well and the results are a vastly improved look for our property. I'll give them a 5 star rating for their work on this, as well as their solar panels business. Whether you have solar panels or not, consider giving Green Sun a chance to do your next soft wash project on your property. It worked out great for me and I highly recommend Green Sun. …the roof deck; every screw was sunk into the rafters. As promised, no part of the array is visible from the front or sides of the house... If you are thinking about “going solar,” or even just getting a standby generator, you really ought to give Glen at Green Sun a call. "- Wayne from Middletown, NJ. Solar Panel InstallationI recently contacted Green Sun ("GS")about power washing my house, deck, walkways, retaining walls, etc. GS obtained a detailed and up-to-date view of my property, and, along with the square footage of my home, developed a cost estimate. I obtained an estimate from another contractor, which was based on the same information as the GS estimate. GS was less expensive by a not-insignificant amount; yet, as best as I could determine, GS offered the same thorough approach using similar products as their competitor. I moved forward with GS. The 2-person team arrived on time on the scheduled day, and worked the full day, power washing all the walkways, deck, patio, retaining walls. I was scheduled for 2 days, and the team returned as scheduled and completed the job, including the roof and the rest of the house. The results were excellent- what a difference! The team quite obviously cared about what they were doing. A concern I had was the impact the power washing might have on the mature landscaping surrounding the treated areas. I was assured that as a matter of course, the team waters down the plants, trees, etc., before and after treatment. I need not have been concerned - no issues there. When it's time (again), I will definitely be using Green Sun for power washing. - Google

Choose the Solar Plan That Fits Your Budget and Goals
No matter your budget, going solar in New Jersey can be structured to fit your goals. Whether you want $0 upfront, low down payments, or maximum lifetime savings, we’ll show you clear options and help you choose the best fit for your home.
Important federal update: Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the federal residential solar tax credit for homeowner-owned systems (purchased with cash/loan) ends after December 31, 2025. Third-party owners (lease/PPA providers) may still qualify for a federal credit through 2027, which can make leases more attractive in 2026–2027 depending on eligibility rules. IRS+1
Sample Solar Savings Over Time
Choosing how to pay for solar is just as important as choosing the system. The chart below compares common options—financing, cash purchase, and a solar lease—against continuing to pay a traditional electric bill, showing estimated cumulative savings over time. Use it to see which approach delivers the best results for your goals in the short term and long run.
Affordable, Reliable Solar—From a Company You Can Trust!
Since 2010, Green Sun Energy Services, LLC has helped homeowners and small businesses take full advantage of New Jersey’s solar incentives—reducing or even eliminating electric bills while protecting against rising utility costs.
If you’re exploring your options, our Solar Buyer’s Guide breaks down everything from system design and equipment choices to incentives and long-term savings—so you can make a well-informed decision with confidence.

Why Go Solar in New Jersey Now That the 30% Tax Credit Is Gone
Solar is still one of the smartest investments for New Jersey homeowners. Even without the federal tax credit, solar can lower your monthly electric bill, protect you from rising rates, and give you long-term control over your energy costs. With strong state incentives and flexible payment options, going solar in New Jersey continues to deliver immediate and long-term value.
Solar Panel Installation in Monmouth County, NJ
Monmouth County homeowners are paying some of the highest electric rates in New Jersey, and as a result, those costs continue to climb year after year. Additionally, with a combination of coastal weather, mature tree coverage, and larger homes with higher energy use, solar panel installation in Monmouth County must be designed correctly to deliver real savings.
That’s why Green Sun Energy Services, LLC focuses on custom system design. Rather than using generic templates, we help Monmouth County homeowners reduce electric bills, lock in long-term energy savings, and increase home value with solar energy systems built specifically for local conditions.
Why Monmouth County Homeowners Are Turning to Solar
Electric rates in Middletown are significantly higher than the national average, especially for homeowners served by JCP&L. Because utility prices continue to rise, many homeowners are choosing solar as a way to regain control over their monthly energy costs.
As a result, homeowners across Monmouth County choose solar to:
-
-
Lower monthly electric bills
-
Protect against future utility rate increases
-
Offset high household energy usage
-
Increase home value without raising property taxes
-
Gain energy independence with predictable costs
-
With the right payment options and system design, many Middletown homeowners see solar payments that are substantially lower than their current electric bill.
Custom Solar System Design for Monmouth County Homes
Not all solar systems perform the same, especially in Monmouth County. For example, tree cover, roof layout, shading, and coastal exposure can all affect how much energy a system produces. Because of these factors, proper system design is critical.
That’s why every solar installation we design is based on:
-
-
Your roof orientation and shading
-
Your historical electric usage
-
Your local utility rate structure
-
Monmouth County zoning and permitting requirements
-
Future needs like EV chargers or home backup power
-
Most importantly, we do not oversell systems or rely on cookie-cutter layouts. Instead, your solar design is built to deliver real, measurable savings for your specific Monmouth County home.
Solar Installation Process in Monmouth County, NJ
Going solar doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, we’ve built a proven local process that keeps everything clear and stress-free from start to finish.
Our process includes:
-
- First, a free solar consultation and energy review
- Next, a custom system design based on your home
- Then, permitting and utility approvals
- After that, professional installation by experienced crews
- Finally, inspections, activation, and ongoing support
In most cases, Monmouth County solar installations are completed in one to two days once permits are approved.
Solar FAQ
How much can solar lower my electric bill in Monmouth County?
It depends on your usage, roof space, shading, and utility. We build your estimate from your bill so you can see realistic savings.
Is $0-down solar actually $0 down?
In many cases, yes. Lease programs are designed to start with minimal upfront costs. We’ll show you the full payment schedule before you decide.
Is a lease better now because of the federal changes?
For 2026–2027, leasing can be more attractive because lease providers may still be able to monetize a federal credit through 2027—potentially improving lease pricing. Solar Power World
What if I need a roof replacement soon?
If your roof is near end-of-life, we’ll talk about timing and options so you don’t pay twice.
