Softwash Service

Cathy from Colts Neck, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since April of 2026. We soft washed the house in May, low pressure with a sodium hypochlorite and surfactant solution. A single-storey house is not necessarily a smaller job than a two-storey one. The footprint tends to be wider, which means more roof and more siding at ground level, where splashback, mud and the growth that comes off surrounding planting all end up. What changes is the access rather than the area, and the work still comes down to holding the solution on the surface long enough

Giovanna from Holmdel, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since May of 2026. We soft washed the two-storey house at the end of that month, working at low pressure and letting a sodium hypochlorite and surfactant solution do the cleaning. The parts of a house that need this most are the parts rain never reaches: under the eaves, the soffits, the shaded walls that stay damp and out of the sun. Those hold algae and grime year after year while everything the weather touches looks passable, which is how a house can seem perfectly clean from the

Melissa from Middletown, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since May of 2026. We soft washed the two-storey house in the first week of June, using a sodium hypochlorite and surfactant solution rather than pressure. That distinction is the whole method: pressure strips what is sitting on the surface and leaves the organism behind, so the green returns within a season, while the solution kills it at the root and the surface stays clean considerably longer. It also means nothing is driven behind the siding or up under the shingles, which is the damage a pressure washer

Tim from Middletown, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since May of 2026. In June we soft washed the cedar on a single-storey house, using a cedar-specific eco-friendly method rather than the standard mix. The wood is the reason for the distinction: the solution that suits vinyl siding and roof shingles is too harsh for bare cedar, drying the fibres and lifting the grain, so cedar gets a gentler formula and a different technique. Pressure is the other thing cedar will not tolerate, because enough force to strip algae from wood also tears the soft growth from

Maria from Millstone Township, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since July of 2026. We soft washed the two-storey house that month, using a sodium hypochlorite and surfactant solution rather than pressure. The distinction matters more than it sounds: high pressure drives water behind siding and strips the granules off a roof, while a soft wash kills the algae and mildew at the root and leaves the surface itself untouched, so the growth takes far longer to come back. The same visit included hand washing 48 windows and sliders inside and out, screens included, which is the
