Solar Critter Guard

Squirrels and birds get into the gap between the panels and the roof, and most people find out the hard way: chewed wiring, staining down the shingles, or a system that has quietly stopped producing. Critter guard closes that gap with a mesh barrier clipped around the array. These are New Jersey homes where we fitted it, some on the day the panels went up and others years later, after something had already moved in.

119 completed critter guard projects across 78 New Jersey towns, including 20 with a review written by the customer.

Solar Panel Installation and Roofing Installation in Berkeley Heights, NJ | Two Layers Off and 21 Panels On

Michael Hartman has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since March of 2019, when the roof and the solar array were bought on the same day. The roof was finished on 11 May 2019 and the array six days later. Two layers off, 2,400 square feet on: This roof had been covered over once already, so two layers of old shingle came off down to the sheathing rather than one. Deck protection went over the exposed sheathing, then a GAF Timberline HDZ system carrying a 50-year warranty and aluminum drip edge along 345 feet of rakes, eaves and valleys. […]
