Solar Panel Installation

No two roofs are the same. The pitch, the shade from the tree next door, the direction the house faces and what the family actually uses through the year all change what belongs up there. These are solar arrays we designed and installed across New Jersey, and each one names the panels, the inverter and the size of the system along with the town it is in. Real jobs on real houses, photographed where we had the chance.

321 completed solar projects across 139 New Jersey towns, including 76 with a review written by the customer.

Solar Panel Installation in Colts Neck, NJ | 52 Panels and 18.72 kW on a Main House

Kristen from Colts Neck, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2020. This is the larger of two arrays on the property, both finished on the same December day in 2020. The main house carries 52 LG NeON 2 panels making 18.72 kW into a SolarEdge inverter with an optimizer on every panel, an estimated 21,326 kilowatt hours in the first year, and 172 feet of critter guard around the perimeter. The existing roof was sound enough to build on, so the work stayed with the array, and JCP&L interconnected the system in January of

Solar Panel Installation in Freehold, NJ | 45 Panels and 13.5 kW

Tom and Karen from Freehold, NJ have been Green Sun Energy Services clients since November of 2014. The array was completed in April of 2015 and interconnected with JCP&L that June: 45 LG panels making 13.5 kW, each one paired with its own Enphase microinverter carrying a 25-year warranty. At that size the choice of microinverters over a central inverter matters more than it would on a small roof – 45 panels spread across different faces will never all see the same light at the same moment, and each one converting its own output means the array is not held

Solar Panel Installation and Roofing Installation in Sicklerville, NJ | Then 28 Panels and a Charger

George Arthur has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since May of 2024, when he bought a new roof. The solar array followed in October and both were finished within days of each other the following February. 3,000 square feet, stripped to the deck: The old shingles came off down to the sheathing and left with the dumpster. Deck protection went over the exposed sheathing, then a GAF Timberline HDZ system in Hickory carrying a 50-year warranty, aluminum drip edge along 310 feet of rakes, eaves and valleys, and a ridge vent along the peak. The roof was finished

Solar Panel Installation and Roofing Installation in Piscataway, NJ | First, Then 28 Panels

Tara Anthony has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since February of 2017, when the roof and the solar array were bought on the same day. The roof was finished on 10 April 2017 and the array a week later. 3,000 square feet, stripped to the deck: A single layer of old shingles came off down to the sheathing and left with the dumpster. Deck protection went over the exposed sheathing, then a GAF Timberline HDZ system carrying a 50-year warranty, aluminum drip edge along 215 feet of rakes, eaves and valleys, and a ridge vent along the peak.

Solar Panel Installation and Roofing Installation in Hamilton, NJ | 21 Panels

Jim Adams has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since September of 2025, when the roof and the solar array were bought on the same day. The roof was finished on 6 October 2025 and the array in late November. 2,900 square feet, stripped to the deck: A single layer of old shingles came off down to the sheathing and left with the dumpster. Deck protection went over the exposed sheathing, then a GAF Timberline system in Charcoal carrying a 50-year warranty, aluminum drip edge along 244 feet of rakes, eaves and valleys, and a ridge vent along the

Solar Panel Installation in Saddle Brook, NJ | Array Removed and Replaced

Steve from Saddle Brook, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2021. This one was a replacement rather than a first install: the nine panels on the west side of the house came down along with the mounting system and the inverter, went out for proper disposal, and every roof penetration was sealed with silicone before anything new went up. The new array followed in December of that year – nine LG NeON H panels making 3.33 kW on a Snap-N-Rack rail-free mounting system with an array skirt, a SolarEdge inverter with P401 optimizers, and

Solar Panel Installation in Manalapan, NJ | 10.22 kW Solar with Critter Guard

Steve from Manalapan, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since September of 2022. The array was completed in December of that year: 28 REC N-Peak 2 panels making 10.22 kW, a SolarEdge HD Wave inverter with an optimizer on each panel, and an estimated 11,455 kilowatt hours in the first year against what JCP&L supplies. We also ran 116 feet of critter guard around the perimeter, which is worth doing at install time rather than after the fact – the gap beneath the panels is sheltered and dry, and squirrels and nesting birds find it long before

Solar Panel Installation and EV Charger Installation in Barnegat, NJ | EV Charging at Bayside Dentistry since 2023

Bayside Dentistry in Barnegat, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since January of 2023. Both jobs on this page are commercial rather than domestic in every respect – the scale, the equipment, and the reason for doing them at all. 100 panels and 36.5 kW: Finished on 31 March 2023: 100 REC N-Peak 2 all-black modules across three separate arrays of 16.06, 15.33 and 5.11 kW, feeding a SolarEdge 50 kW commercial inverter with an optimizer on every panel. Rail-free mounting, a 600-amp service, and an estimated 41,580 kilowatt hours in the first year. The roof was

Solar Panel Installation in Jackson, NJ | 38 Panels and 9.88 kW

David from Jackson, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2015. The array was completed that November: 38 Hyundai panels totaling 9.88 kW, with an Enphase microinverter behind each one rather than a single central inverter. That layout suits a roof this size, because every panel converts its own power and carries its own 25-year warranty, so one shaded or failed panel does not take a whole string down with it. The design estimates about 10,216 kilowatt hours in the first year against what JCP&L supplies. The existing roof was in good enough shape to

Solar Panel Installation in Hackensack, NJ | 6.46 kW Rooftop Solar

Grace from Hackensack, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since December of 2021. The array went up in June of 2022: 17 LG NeON 2 panels totaling 6.46 kW, paired with a SolarEdge HD Wave inverter and an optimizer on every panel, so shade or leaf litter on one panel pulls down that panel alone rather than the whole string. The design estimates roughly 7,027 kilowatt hours in the first year. The existing roof was sound enough to build on, which kept the job to the array itself, and the system was interconnected with PSEG in November

Solar Panel Installation in Monroe Township, NJ | 6.9 kW Leased Array, Fixed Rate for 25 Years

Daryl from Monroe Township, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since March of 2026. The array went up in May: 16 Qcells 430-watt panels making 6.88 kW, each with its own Enphase microinverter, estimated to produce 8,411 kWh in the first year. It is leased rather than owned, which puts the electricity at 13.3 cents per kWh against the 22.5 cents JCP&L was charging at the time of the install. The lease has no annual escalator, so that 13.3 cents is fixed for the full 25 years while the utility rate keeps moving; it has been rising

Solar Panel Installation and Roofing Installation in South Bound Brook, NJ | 24 Panels Off, 14 New Ones On

James Sickoria has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since May of 2023, when a partial solar removal, a new roof and a new array were booked as one job. The roof was finished on 5 June 2023 and the new panels went on that July. Critter guard followed in May of 2026. Only the back of the house was touched: This is the least common shape of job on the site and the notes set it out precisely: the twenty-four panels on the back of the house came off, along with the two inverters that ran them, and
