Standby Generator Installation

Patti & David from Middletown, NJ have been Green Sun Energy Services clients since January of 2013, and that May we completed their Generac standby generator installation. More than a decade of nor’easters and summer storms later, the generator still starts on its own within seconds of an outage, keeping heat, lights, refrigeration and the sump pump running while the street stays dark. A Green Sun service plan with scheduled maintenance is what keeps a twelve-year-old machine starting like a new one. Homeowners across Monmouth County rely on Green Sun Energy Services for standby power built to last.

Gary from Brielle, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since June of 2022. He signed in the middle of June and the generator was commissioned in early September, an 18 kW Generac on a pad with a 150-amp service-rated transfer switch, a whole-house surge protective device and a management module to keep the largest load from overwhelming the rest. A Generac service contract has covered it since, with scheduled visits and monitoring. Brielle is in Monmouth County, on the Manasquan River, where storm season is taken seriously.

Robert from Middletown, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since October of 2022. Six weeks after he signed the generator was running, a 22 kW Generac behind a 200-amp service-rated transfer switch with a surge protective device on the panel and two management modules sharing the heavy loads. The surge device matters more than people expect: the damage often arrives when the grid comes back, not when it goes down. A Generac service contract has covered it since. Middletown is in Monmouth County.

Stephanie from Colts Neck, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since July of 2021. She and Denny signed in July and the generator was commissioned in December, five months, which was the going rate that year. It is a 14 kW Generac on its own pad behind a 150-amp service-rated switch, covering 2,100 square feet on a well with two sump pumps, a freezer and the laundry. A well and two sumps is exactly the case where losing power means losing water and taking on water at once. Colts Neck is in Monmouth County.

Diane from Springfield, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since November of 2020. The generator was signed that November and commissioned the following July, a 16 kW Generac on its own pad behind a 200-amp service-rated transfer switch, which carries the house rather than a chosen set of circuits. A Generac service contract has covered it since, with scheduled maintenance and monitoring so the unit is exercised long before anybody needs it. Springfield is in Union County, at the northern end of where our crews travel.

Steve from Atlantic Highlands, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since February of 2021. He signed in February and the generator was commissioned in November, a long wait that most of 2021 shared, an 18 kW Generac on its own pad with a 100-amp service-rated transfer switch and a management module for the largest load. A Generac service contract has covered it since. Atlantic Highlands is in Monmouth County, where the roads climb and the power lines take a beating.

Curtis from Atlantic Highlands, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since October of 2020. He signed in October and the generator was commissioned in late February, a 22 kW Generac on a pad with a 200-amp service-rated transfer switch and two management modules balancing the heavy loads. A Generac service contract has covered it since, which on a machine this size is the difference between a long life and a short one. Atlantic Highlands is in Monmouth County.

Helen from Jackson, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since September of 2020. She signed in September and the generator was commissioned the following March, a 20 kW Generac on its own pad behind a 200-amp service-rated transfer switch. At 3,400 square feet with two refrigerators, a dishwasher and the laundry, it is one of the larger houses we have covered, and 20 kW carries all of it rather than a chosen set of rooms. Jackson is in Ocean County, where the lots are wooded and the lines come down with the branches.

Paul from Monmouth Junction, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2020. He signed in the middle of August and the generator was commissioned the following January, a 16 kW Generac on its own pad behind a 200-amp service-rated transfer switch, sized to carry the house rather than a handful of circuits. A Generac service contract has covered it since, with scheduled maintenance and monitoring in between. Monmouth Junction is in Middlesex County, well inside the area our generator crews cover.

Marilyn from Holmdel, NJ has been a Green Sun Energy Services client since August of 2020. She signed at the end of that August and the generator was commissioned the following March, a 20 kW Generac on a pad with a 200-amp service-rated transfer switch and three smart management modules to balance the heavy loads. A Generac service contract has kept it maintained since, with scheduled visits and remote monitoring so a fault turns up on a report rather than during a storm. Holmdel is in Monmouth County, where whole-house backup is closer to standard than luxury.
